LOOLOWNINGEN & THE FAR EAST IDIOTS 是一支成軍於 2010 年的東京三人樂團，團名意指「漂泊的人」。樂團以詞曲核心 Shigeru Akakura（吉他、主唱）為中心，搭配 Atsushi Ueda（貝斯）與 Junpei Yamamoto（鼓），打造出他們口中「如水墨畫般的聲響、一筆畫成的節奏」的前衛龐克與另類藍調。那是一種難以歸類、躁動不安的聲響——數學搖滾的銳利稜角、藍調的呼吸語感與前衛搖滾的結構彼此交纏，並透過休止符的留白、刻意的「聽錯」，以及他們所謂的「超自由轉譯」交織而成。一如他們自己所言，這是為所有漂泊者而作的音樂。

而這份「漂泊」遠不只是一句口號。2025 年 4 月，樂團發行了第四張完整專輯 THORN O' THE TIMES——一張收錄八首作品、並以黑膠形式問世的唱片；他們同時也是日本最堅持獨立精神的現場樂團之一：迄今已完成七次完全 DIY 的全美巡演，足跡包括 SXSW 與 Treefort 音樂節，最近一次則是 2025 年春天橫跨洛杉磯、丹佛、芝加哥、西雅圖與華盛頓特區的巡迴。多年來，他們與眾多前衛音樂的名字同台演出，從 Godspeed You! Black Emperor、Dinosaur Jr.、Built to Spill，到日本重量級的 Boris、Zazen Boys、OOIOO、goat 與 world's end girlfriend——這樣的資歷，相信能立刻打動每一位鍾情於日本地下實驗音樂的台灣樂迷。

Loolowningen & The Far East Idiots are a Tokyo trio formed in 2010, whose name translates roughly as "wandering people." Built around songwriter Shigeru Akakura (guitar, vocals) with Atsushi Ueda (bass) and Junpei Yamamoto (drums), the band trades in avant-punk and alternative-blues with "inkwash painting-like sounds and unicursal rhythms" — math-rock angularity, blues phrasing and progressive structure folded together through rest-notes, deliberate mishearing, and what they call "super-liberal translation." Music, in their own words, for all wanderers.

In April 2025 they released their fourth album, THORN O' THE TIMES, an eight-track LP, and they remain one of Japan's most relentlessly independent live acts — seven entirely DIY US tours, including SXSW and Treefort Music Festival, most recently a spring 2025 run through Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Seattle and Washington DC. They've shared stages with Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Dinosaur Jr. and Built to Spill, plus Japanese heavyweights Boris, Zazen Boys, OOIOO, goat and world's end girlfriend.
